What did the researchers report?
Tirzepatide groups showed greater average reductions in glycated hemoglobin, the primary endpoint, and in body weight. Gastrointestinal adverse events occurred with both treatments.

How should it be interpreted?
The study was open-label and did not compare every possible regimen. It is not a universal ranking of these molecules for every indication, and does not establish interchangeability of research materials with medicines.
